About Us
The Kinnakorai farm is a part of the Kilthottam situated on the eastern slopes of the western ghats of the Nilgiris bioreserve. Nestled in between the Silent Valley of the Kerala and the Geddhai valley of the Kundah in Tamilnadu, it has been home to highgrown tea and coffee apart from a multitude of indigenous fruits.
We have adopted organic way of cultivation taking the stewardship of the place known for its unspoilt nature.
Crop diversity with more emphasis on trees and herbs is being practiced.
We are the third generation planters employing the tribal population of the place.
- Enthused by Mrs.Vanya Orr, an English lady who pioneered organic movement of the Nilgiris, we have a herbal garden with Rosemary, Thyme, Lemongrass, Vetiver, Ginger,Night shade, Mint, Fewer few, Sage and Aloe Vera to name a few.
- We have been making healthy relishes made out of organically growing Citron, Gooseberry and lime.
- We make speciality Tea like Green tea, orthodox black tea , white tea and oolong.
- The organically grown coffee is hand processed, sun dried making the finest Arabica coffee.
